Vaulted Ceiling Transformation

Occupied Home Renovation

A dark room with low 8-foot ceilings was reimagined into a bright, open living space with a hand-framed 14-foot vaulted ceiling, custom millwork, and exposed beams.

Challenge

This renovation took place while the basement and the rest of the home remained occupied. Our team had to carefully coordinate demolition, structural framing, roofing, and siding work while protecting the home from weather exposure and avoiding damage to the client’s property.

What We Did

  • Removed the existing truss system and rebuilt the structure with a fully hand-framed vaulted ceiling.
  • Coordinated closely with roofing and siding trades to keep the project weatherproof at every stage.
  • Installed white ceiling millwork, beams, and strategic lighting to brighten the space and emphasize the new height.

Result

The finished space feels dramatically larger, lighter, and more refined. Most importantly, the transformation was completed without damage to the occupied home, protecting the client’s investment from start to finish.

Wiarton Cottage Project
Out-of-Town Build
Remote Project Delivery

Wiarton Cottage Project

Wiarton

We regularly support clients whose projects extend beyond the city, bringing the same planning, craftsmanship, and communication to remote properties as we do closer to home.

Challenge

Cottage and secondary-property work often comes with added logistical complexity, from travel coordination to managing work away from a client’s primary residence.

What We Did

  • Adapted our process to support reliable project management in a remote location.
  • Maintained clear communication from planning through execution so clients stayed informed at every phase.
  • Delivered the same standard of workmanship and accountability our clients expect from local projects.

Result

For clients with properties up north, we provide a natural extension of our service area. That means trusted execution, dependable coordination, and confidence that distance will not compromise quality.

Building Science & Advanced Products

New Builds & Additions

Our approach to construction goes beyond finishes. We help clients invest in better-performing assemblies and materials that improve durability, efficiency, and long-term comfort.

Challenge

Many homeowners are not shown the full range of building-envelope and insulation options available to them, which can make it harder to balance upfront cost with long-term performance.

What We Did

  • Use ZIP sheathing systems for new builds and additions to improve air and moisture control.
  • Install full thermal break systems for warmer, more durable basements.
  • Offer closed-cell spray foam insulation upgrades to improve energy efficiency and reduce heating costs.
  • Apply advanced exterior house wraps and modern window flashing details to strengthen water management.
  • Walk clients through each option clearly so they can allocate their investment where it matters most.

Result

Clients make informed decisions with a clearer understanding of performance, durability, and value. The result is a better-built home tailored to their priorities, budget, and long-term needs.

Agricultural Construction

Agriculture & Outbuildings

New Builds & Structural Erection

Large-scale agricultural buildings require careful planning, specialized equipment, and experienced crews to ensure safe and efficient construction in open environments.

Challenge

Agricultural structures built in open areas are highly exposed to wind and environmental conditions during the erection phase, creating safety risks and potential structural instability if not properly managed.

What We Did

  • Plan and execute each project with a focus on safe structural sequencing, bracing, and shoring during all phases of erection.
  • Leverage experience with large-scale builds to anticipate environmental risks and mitigate them proactively.
  • Select materials that are safe, durable, and appropriate for livestock and agricultural use.
  • Utilize specialized equipment including cranes, telehandlers, and scaffolding to ensure safe and efficient construction.
  • Apply proven processes from past projects including peacock enclosures, commercial chicken barns, and multi-purpose agricultural buildings.

Result

Clients receive structurally sound, safely constructed agricultural buildings that are built to withstand environmental conditions while supporting long-term use for livestock and operational needs.
